Interview with AnCafé from peach No 10:
At the Beginning of our Interview with AnCafé we got to know Takuya, "the new one", who waved around with a Atze-Schröder-Photo and who really loud "Atze Atze" shouted.
Atze, so said Takuya, was his big Idol because of the Similarity/Resemblence. (*Everyone who saw Atze Schröder knows, that he looks like Yuuki because of the Hair and the Sunglasses)
We also got the Impression, that all the members in the band trust each other and have a lot of fun. We had fun during the Interview too.
Interviewer: You look like you are tired. Is it because of all the Interviews?
Miku: Yes, but not only because of this! We arrived in Germany yesterday evening very late, ate something very fast and we are traveling since today Morning, to give Interviews. In an hourly rhythm. (*It means: Every Hour a new Interview)
Interviewer: So you didn't see anything of Cologne yet?
Teruki: No, Unfortunately not!
Interviewer: You have two new members in the Band, Takuya and Yuuki. What effect will that have on your Music? (*or: how will it change your music? )
Miku: At the Moment it won't change anything in our music. We took Yuuki into our Band, because we could need a Keyboarder very well. As an Addition during Studio-recording, but also, to get a better Sound at Lives. And Takuya came because of Bou.
(* as Replacement)
Interviewer: How do you feel about that Bou left the Band? When did you get to know that he wants to leave?
Miku: He told us two Months before we made the official Announcement.
Bou had other Dreams and he had his own Plans. We decided together, that it would be the best for the band, to go different ways. (*It means: that Bou goes his own way)
Interviewer: So it was a friendly Separation?
Miku: Yes, sure! We still have contact through Phone and E-mail.
Interviewer: How did you find Takuya and Yuuki? Did you know them already?
Miku: After we knew, that Bou will leave the Band, we went to search for Replacement.
We visited a lot of Concerts with Newcomer-Bands and we were also at Music-Universities.
We asked different people, we thought were interesting, and arranged a Prelude with them. (* I hope it's the correct word. It means that they listened to theirs Skills)
We did that all secretly, because the leaving of Bou wasn't official announced at that time.
Interviewer: How does your everyday life look like?
Miku: When we are together, then we mostly do Photoshoots or give Interviews or Concerts.
Interviewer: And when you are not together?
Miku: We go different ways. We practise and compose often alone for example.
Then we meet at the Studio and everyone has some new things, new Melodies, new Lyrics etc.
We show our things to each other then and discuss about what we could use of that.
That's the way how Songs develop.
Interviewer: Are you surprised that here are a lot of Visual- and Oshare-Kei Fans in Germany?
Miku: Yes, it's totally awesome! The Visual-Scene here in Germany seems to be much bigger than in Japan. We never thought that.
Interviewer: But a lot of those Fans also listens to Pop for example.
Miku: We already noticed that. But that's cool! It's totally different from Japan, where the Fans think like in a Drawer. We like Pop too. (* he means, that the Fans ONLY listens to Rock or ONLY to Pop, but not both)
Interviewer: What Pop-Artists do you listen to for example?
Miku: Ayumi Hamasaki or Kumi Koda for example. Actually i like every Artist who is female and sexy. But I listen to Visual Kei too. (* there really stands "listening to Visual Kei")
Teruki: Earlier i listened more to Heavy-Metal, like Halloween for example, but now i like to listen to Pop as well.
Kanon: I like Anime-Songs a lot.
Takuya: I like Metal as much as Pop.
Yuuki: I love J-Pop.
Interviewer: How do you feel in Germany, so far away from Home? What do you do against Home-sickness?
Miku: I have a Photo of my Dog with me. But honestly i always feel a little bit lonely and melancholy.
Teruki: I don't have Home-sickness, I like to be together with the other Bandmembers. That's better than to be alone at home.
Kanon: I don't have Home-sickness too. On the contrary, I like to travel. When one Tour is finished, i could directly start the next one.
Takuya: I feel the same like Kanon about that, although i'm not that long in the Band yet.
Yuuki: For me everyone in the Band are good Friends. And i like to be together with them. No matter where we are.
Interviewer: You are still a young Band. What Dreams or Goals do you have for the Future?
Kanon: I would like to go on a Europe-Tour together with Tokyo Hotel.
Interviewer: Really?
Kanon: Yes, they are cute!
Interviewer: Some of your german Fans will find that weird.
Kanon: Maybe because Tokyo Hotel are pop-like. But we are also more pop and less heavy than other Visual-Bands. That's why i think Tokyo Hotel are nice.
(* Now i get problems, because Teruki is there twice, saying two different things, so i think at first it's Miku who speaks although there stands Teruki, and there is something about Takuya and a Bass? Maybe they meant Kanon. One Member is missing at the Answers):
Interviewer: How did you come to Music? (* or: How did you get the idea of making music?)
Miku: I always could sing very good and i like Kagerou or Bands like Luna Sea very much.
I wanted to do something like that.
Yuuki: When i was a little Child, my Parents forced me to play piano. But somehow i still went on playing it. At school i changed to Keyboard.
Takuya: Actually i always wanted to become a Singer, but it never happened. So i started to play Guitar and later i played Bass. (* Either it really IS Takuya who speaks, or it's Kanon. Sorry, I don't know. The Bass-thingy confused me)
Teruki: I always wanted to form a Band. I couldn't play Guitar so well, so i started to play the Drums.
Interviewer: Who decides about your Look? Are you doing it yourself?
Miku: We don't have any special Stylist for that, so we search for our clothes ourselves. When i have free time then i like to go shopping and buy new clothes.
Teruki: In our private Life we wear the same clothes, but without the Make-up.
Interviewer: Is there something you are afraid of?
Teruki: (starts to laugh) Yes, i'm afraid that Yuuki is becoming a little bit gay. (Everyone in the Band starts to laugh, it seems to be a Joke in the Band)
Miku: I worry about my Dog, he's so alone at home.
Kanon: I'm not afraid, but i worry. For example, if i placed my bycicle on the wrong place in front of the railroad station.
Takuya: I'm afraid of Earthquakes.
Yuuki: I always watch at the best-before date of food. I'm always afraid, that they go off. (*Sorry, i didn't know how to translate that u_u, it means, that he's afraid that you can't eat the food anymore)
Especially at Eggs.
Interviewer: You only have to put them into water. If they swim above, then there is air in them and maybe they are not eatable anymore.
Yuuki: Cool, thanks for the tipp.
Teruki: Probably Yuuki fell in love with you now. (The Interviewer is male too.)
Interviewer: Tomorrow is your Concert. How will you welcome your german Fans?
Miku: Unfortunately I only know the word "Unterhose". (* it means: Underpants)
Interviewer: Hm, then it will be difficult.
Miku: Why? I could do a little show and pull Underpants over my Head. Though....maybe not.
Interviewer: Is there something, you would like to tell your german Fans and peach-readers?
Teruki: We want to be in Germany more often. Please support us, so that this works.
Miku: I'm looking forward to our Fans. I love you all.
Kanon: I don't know, but i will definitely come again to Germany. (* He means without giving any Concerts i think)
Takuya: I'm glad that we have so many german fans.
Yuuki: I'm looking forward to the Show in Cologne. And, i only look like Atze Schröder, but i'm not him!
Interviewer: Thank you for the Correction (he means Yuuki's last sentence) and your Greetings. Have Fun at the Concert and in Germany.

hm.
a w ogóle, obejrzałam wczoraj (wreszcie) last live Bou.

i jeszcze jeden:
The J-Shock 2007 was a big event which will remain in the memories of all those who participated in it. It was a busy day for all four bands and so we didn’t get personal interviews but nevertheless, they still could spare some time afterwards to answer our questions per mail. We’d like to thank Gan-Shin Records once more for offering the mail-interviews and of course also the bands for taking the time to answer and the translator for the translations.
Nippon Project: In America you only had a signing session and a Questions & Answer - how was it for you now to have a real concert overseas?
An Cafe: The fans were more enthusiastic than Japanese fans and that made us feel really happy, and we didn’t want to go back to Japan.
We saw you watching bis’ show. When you saw how the German crowd reacted to a Japanese band, did this help you to calm down?
We felt the need to compete and the necessity to rock the house much harder.
Do you intend to come to Europe again in the future? Maybe also to Switzerland?
We'd love to, please invite us!
Did you know any of the other bands that performed at the J-Shock before?
We had played with them in Japan in the past. We even went drinking with them.
What do you want to give to the audiences when you are doing a concert? How would you like them to feel after your concerts?
We want to see everyone smiling. We want everybody to be happy.
Takuya and Yu-ki, how was it for you to play one of your first concerts overseas?
Yu-ki: I was nervous to face such a big stage. But in return, the enjoyment was extreme.
Takuya: Playing in Germany itself was already special to me, but I tried to give my best while playing as I would in Japan, and enjoyed it the most possible.
Teruki, we noticed that you wore some kind of a bandage on your right arm. Were you injured?
Teruki:I had been suffering an inflammation of the tendon sheath since last Summer. But I am ok now.
Who told you about Atze?
We've heard about it from an interviewer on the day before the show.
Miku, how did you get the idea for your magic trick? (The one with the underwear)
Miku: I've got the idea from Esper Itoh, a Japanese comedians' performance.
Does Panda-chan (the one you had attached to the microphone holder) have a name?
Miku: I've got it from a fan just before the show so I couldn't think of a name yet.
Yu-ki, were you shocked when one part of your keyboard fell down? Was it less or more shocking when it happened for the second time?
Yu-ki: I really panicked the first time, but it turned to be amusing the second time.
Kanon, did it hurt much when you hit your head on the microphone holder?
Kanon: I was really into the performance and didn't realize it.
Miku, has it ever happened to you that you accidentally hit somebody while you were doing your microphone holder choreography?
Miku: I broke Kanon's bass once.
All of your English and German MCs were really well pronounced. How long did you practice?
A bit on the day before the show. Maybe for 30 seconds?
Miku, did you like the German sausages?
And to all of you: Is there other food you’ve tried in Germany?
Miku: It was a bit too soft.
All: We also had Wiener Schnitzel!
Did you go sightseeing? What have you visited?
Kölner Dom!! It was amazing!
When did you notice that a keyboarder would just fit perfectly into An Cafe’s sound?
We strongly felt it when we were making the "Magnya Carta" album.
How did you get to know the two new members?
It was fate.
Takuya and Yu-ki, how did you get to know about An Cafe? And what was your motivation to join the band?
Takuya & Yu-ki: We weren't aware of the band until we were asked to join. We listened to the songs and decided to join.
Takuya, you’re the youngest member in the band - how does it feel to be in such a successful band at this age?
Takuya: It still feels unrealistic. I'll just do the best of what I can.
On you latest album “Magnya Carta” you’ve created the Nyappy Kingdom and your own characters within that kingdom. Will you continue with that theme?
It was intended to suit the theme of "Magnya Carta" so we're not sure if we’ll keep the same idea in the future.
Will there ever be a villain in your Nyappy Kingdom? How would you deal with him?
I like that idea. Can I use it?
Yes, of course!
Takuya and Yu-ki, how do you feel about performing songs which were already written “before your time”?
Takuya & Yu-ki: We like the songs so performing them makes us happy.
Were your worried that, after Bou had left An Cafe, your fans might not accept any new band members?
We did have fears. We've decided in consideration of each other that we just have to do our best, and show that to the others. We hope that the fans will understand us if we keep on writing good songs and doing good live shows.
Yu-ki, how do you get your hair so curly and manage them to even stay curly during the whole concert? Please tell us your curly-hair-styling-secret~
Yu-ki: Top sercret!
Kanon, you’re the main composer for An Cafe’s songs - where do you take your inspirations from?
Kanon: I get inspired when seeing my figure dolls.
Can you tell us a funny or strange story about the creation of a song?
Kanon: I don't have one...
Miku, what was your reaction when you heard of Kagerou’s disbanding? Did it have some kind of impact on your life?
Miku I was really sad. But now I’m happy to know that Daisuke, the vocalist, has started a new band.
Which song defines, in your opinion, An Cafe’s concept the most? Why?
Smile Ichiban Ii ♀ (onna): The fans are smiling when we play this live. Positive power!!
BondS -Kizuna-: Because we treasure the bonds between the members, staffs and the fans.
There’s quite some confusion about your band name. Is there a correct spelling?
In Japan, "アンティック-珈琲店-" (That means “Antic Cafe”. “Antic” is written as “antikku” while "Cafe" is written as "Coffee Shop" in Chinese characters.)
Oversesas, "An Cafe"
While watching your movie “BondS”, we noticed that there are quite some elements that remind us of the movie “NANA”. Have you watched that movie or are the similarities sheer coincidence?
Yes, we've seen it. It's an homage to the film.
Kanon, you’ve got most of the time the role of an otaku - how much are you one?
Kanon: (makes the infinity sign) ∞ - infinite
What would you be doing now if you weren’t musicians?
Kanon: Waiter at an internet café
Yu-ki: Clerk at a game arcade
Takuya: Office worker
Teruki: Working at Tohoku Electric Power *
Miku: homeless...
* Note from the translator: Teruki lived in the northern region, and Tohoku Electric Power is a major company in the region. (Website of Tohoku Electric Power)
What’s the biggest dream for each of you?
Kanon: To receive an MTV award for our video clips
Yu-ki: To carry on An Cafe!!!
Takuya: A world tour
Teruki: To continue playing music for the rest of my life
Miku: To achieve the #1 place on ORICON *
* Note from the translator: "ORICON" is the most well known music trade magazine in Japan, similar to the "Billboard" magazine in the US. (ORICON website, singles charts (English), album charts (English))
Could you please give us a message for your Swiss fans?
We would love to play a live in Switzerland so please invite us! NYAPPY (≧∀≦)
We’d like to thank Gan-Shin Records and especially Marius Frietsch again for giving us the opportunity to have this mail-interview with An Cafe.

Patrzcie, co mam. Harinezumi z forum na Jref, jest w Japonii i była na koncercie AnCafe. ... ><' po angielsku, na dole z grubsza napisałam o co chodzi... :
"I'm right now in Tokyo, and this from the 26 july. I was at the live of NHK Hall in Shibuya. I read just a little what they writed in the diary (thank for the translations), and did Miku and Kanon writed after this concert?
Sorry I couldn't make pics of the concert, cameras aren't allowed in Japan.
------>The thing is that I was terribly diseapointed by this live... I was in Kobe in january and live was really awsome! But, now........
Yuuuki keyboard is too loud and you could only hear Miku because he have a strong voice, the bass, can't hear, the drum, ssame, guitare, same >_<
I knew how Takuya play only when Yuuki wasn't, he's really good at guitare.
But the new An Cafe is.... Yuuki made a mess of all ancient songs, and god know how I loved thoses songs!! For the new ones... I'll use the reaction of the other to explain: the public rarely applaused... didn't scream.... didn't dance....
What finally made them scream is Miku comming out of a big box wearing shorts...
So, I steel do love An Cafe, but I'm scared for them and there futur if they didn't do something about the keyboard, maybe make it not so loud, and bring back the acient songs at what they were, I mean awsome, and not what I heard at NHK Hall.
Sorry for thoses bad news, but I'm really very very disapointed."
A Takuya ma 19 lat.
I macie do jasnej ciasnej pisać tutaj! ><
